Need Help with Crimson Trace Free Batteries for Life Program

I’ve been using Crimson Trace products for a while now, and I just heard about their ‘Free Batteries For Life’ program. As someone who spends a lot of time outdoors, especially when shooting, I want to make sure I understand how to best take advantage of this offer.

Questions I Have:

  • How do I sign up for the program? Is there a registration process or is it automatic when I purchase a product?
  • What types of batteries are included in this program? Are there any specific models or limitations I need to be aware of?
  • Has anyone had experience with the battery replacement process? Is it straightforward?

Tips for Battery Life:

  • If you have tips for maintaining the life of these batteries, that would be super helpful too!

Looking forward to hearing your experiences and advice! Thanks!

I’ve been using the Crimson Trace batteries for a while now. To ensure they last, always store them in a cool, dry place away from sunlight. Heat really shortens battery life!

That’s great advice! I’ve noticed my batteries last longer if I rotate them during usage. Anyone else do this?

I completely agree with rotating batteries. It’s also important to check expiration dates and not to leave them dormant for long periods!

Storage is key! I keep my batteries in their original packaging until I need them. It really helps protect them.

How often do you all check your batteries? I tend to forget until I need them.

Regular usage seems to help, too! I’ve found that using them periodically keeps them healthier overall.

Exactly! Plus, it’s a good way to avoid that awkward moment when you need a battery and it’s dead.

For charging, I’ve read that slow charging is better than fast charging for lithium batteries. Keeping them at around 50% charged when not in use is optimal!

Great point! I’ve also heard that keeping batteries at full charge isn’t ideal. A little bit of discharge can extend their life.

That sounds smart! I typically leave mine fully charged because I worry about them dying. I’ll adjust that.

Another thing to consider is not to mix batteries of different brands or charge levels. Consistency is key.

I’ve personally never had issues with mixing brands. Is there really a significant impact?

I think there’s some validity to that. My friend had an issue once with mixed brands causing a malfunction.

Let’s not turn this into ‘batteries anonymous’! Just remember, good storage and regular checks are key! Anyone else have funny battery stories?

Has anyone compared the different battery types available on crimsontrace.com? I need some help deciding which one is best for my laser sight.

You should look at their specifications page. Some batteries can last longer under continuous use, which is crucial for me. I’d recommend checking the 2016CR vs 2032 options.

I found that the CR2032 batteries perform really well for most of the Crimson Trace products. They’re also widely available, making them a solid choice.
