I’m really interested in the Ruger American Rifle in 6.5 Creedmoor. It’s lightweight and offers great accuracy for the price. Has anyone used it for hunting?

I’ve taken the Ruger Scout rifle in 6.5 Creedmoor out a few times. It’s versatile and perfect for stalking game. I love the adjustable stock too!

Both the American and Scout rifles have their perks. The American is a great entry-level rifle, while the Scout offers tactical features. What’s your main use case?

I mostly plan to use it for precision shooting at the range. Any recommendations?

For precision, you might want to check out the Ruger Precision Rifle. It’s designed for long-range accuracy and has customizable features!

Does it handle recoil well? I’m a bit recoil-sensitive.

Yes, the Ruger Precision has a decent muzzle brake that really helps mitigate recoil. It’s quite manageable for a 6.5 caliber.

Good to hear! I wasn’t sure if the weight would make it difficult to carry around for long haul hunts.

The Precision is a bit heavier due to its build, but if you’re not hiking long distances, you’ll be fine. Plus, its accuracy is worth it!

True! But I’d hate to show up in the field looking like a wannabe sniper with all those accessories.

Haha, no worries, you could always go minimalist! The Ruger Americans are sleek and won’t draw too much attention in the field. Just pick what fits your style!

I’ve been really impressed with my Ruger Precision Rifle in 6.5 Creedmoor. It consistently shoots under 1 MOA at 100 yards. Great choice for both target shooting and hunting!

That’s awesome, Angela! I love my Ruger American as well. It performs really well for me, especially at longer ranges. What does your setup look like?

I’ve shot multiple 5-shot groups with my Ruger and had some tight groupings around 0.75 inches at 200 yards. Can’t complain about that at all!

That’s really encouraging to hear! How does it handle in terms of recoil? I’ve heard 6.5 Creedmoor is pretty manageable.

Recoil is definitely light! I’ve only shot a few calibers, but 6.5 Creedmoor is super pleasant, which makes it easier to spot bullets in flight when training.

I found my Ruger to be very stable for long-range shots. It’s been reliable, but I do think it could use an upgrade on the stock for more comfort.

Interesting point! I’ve considered changing my stock as well. What’s a good aftermarket option?

I think the Magpul stocks are great for Ruger rifles! The added adjustability is worth it, especially for long sessions at the range.
