Looking for the Best Action Waterproof Camera for Snorkeling!

I’m planning a snorkeling trip soon and I really want to capture some amazing underwater shots. I’ve been doing some research and there are so many options out there!

What I’m Looking For:

  • Waterproof capabilities: Ideally, I want something that can handle deeper waters, maybe up to 30 meters or more.
  • Image Stabilization: I know that filming underwater can be a bit shaky, so stabilization is a must.
  • Video Quality: 4K video would be great, but I’m also open to cameras that provide excellent 1080p footage.

Some Cameras I’ve Considered:

  • GoPro Hero10
  • DJI Osmo Action
  • Olympus Tough TG-6

Has anyone used these or any others that you’d recommend? Any tips on what features to prioritize? Looking forward to your suggestions!

The HERO10 is great, but I personally prefer the DJI Osmo Action. It has dual screens and performs really well in various conditions!

The battery does drain fast, especially when shooting in 4K. But if you limit your settings, it’s manageable.

I’ve had the Akaso Brave 7 LE, and it’s super budget-friendly. It works fine for snorkeling, and the quality is surprisingly decent!

Underwater with the Akaso, colors can look a bit washed out, but you can fix it in post-processing. For the price, it’s totally worth it.
