I found the break-in period to be quick; after just a few short walks around my property, they were comfortable enough for a full day hunting trip.
I’ve had a mixed experience. While the support is great, they do take longer to break in for some users. Just make sure to wear them before the season starts.

I haven’t seen lighter options in the Red Wing line, but they do have versatile styles that are easier to wear for extended periods if weight is a concern.
Has anyone experienced issues with the sole wearing out quickly? I’ve heard stories that can be concerning.
