Is AAC Ammo Any Good for Shooting?

Seeking Opinions on AAC Ammo

I’ve been considering trying out AAC (Advanced Armament Company) ammunition for some of my outdoor shooting activities, but I’ve come across mixed reviews. I wanted to see if anyone here has firsthand experience with AAC ammo and could share their thoughts on its performance.

Things I’m Curious About:

  • Accuracy: How well does AAC ammo perform in terms of hitting targets? Is it consistent?
  • Reliability: Have you experienced any misfires or jams while using AAC ammo?
  • Recoil: How does the recoil compare with other brands? Is it manageable?
  • Price vs Quality: Is it worth the price, considering the quality?

What Activities Do You Use It For?

I primarily do target shooting, but I’m also considering it for hunting. Have any of you used AAC ammo in these scenarios? Any specific recommendations or warnings?

Good to know! How does the AAC fare compared to other brands like Hornady or Federal?

In my experience, AAC has a slight edge in accuracy over Hornady. I’ve had good results at longer distances too.

I was skeptical at first, but after multiple range sessions, I think AAC holds its own. Definitely worth a try!

Ha, that’s an interesting strategy, greg58! I think AAC’s reliability in critical moments is more important than sound. Gotta hit your target!

I’ve also noticed that AAC ammo can be a bit pricier than others. Is it really worth the extra cost?

What about self-defense scenarios with AAC ammo? I’m curious if anyone has had experience there.

I think it’s effective for self-defense but often depends on the type you choose. I’d recommend testing it out personally.

Totally agree! I think it’s situational. Many factors affect its effectiveness, including shot placement.
