I’m looking for some advice or personal experiences regarding the Norma Bondstrike 300 WSM ammunition. Specifically, I’m interested in how well it performs for elk hunting.
A few points I’m curious about:
Accuracy: How consistent have your shots been?
Ballistic Performance: Any feedback on how the bullets perform at range?
Hunting Experiences: How effective have they been in actual hunting scenarios?
Availability: Any recommendations on where to source them?
I’m aiming to enhance my hunting performance this season, and any insights on using this ammo would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
I’ve shot it a few times. The Bondstrike has an impressive BC, making it great for long-range shots. The trajectory seems to hold well, so you should be good for elk hunting!
I’d say around 300 to 400 yards is my sweet spot, but with a round like the Bondstrike, you might get away with even further shots if you’re comfortable.
I’ve had great success with the Norma Bondstrike 300 WSM for elk hunting! The key is getting your powder choice right. I’ve been using H4831SC with excellent results.
Bullet seating depth can really affect your accuracy. I typically seat my bullets around 0.015" off the lands, but it can vary based on your rifle’s chamber.
Magazine length is crucial! Make sure you’re not exceeding it with your seating depth. I had a rough hunt last year due to jamming issues, learned the hard way!
Reloading the Bondstrike can be tricky. I found that using a chronograph really helps dial in the powder charge for consistency. Anyone else have issues with low velocity?
