Anyone Tried Costco's Eddie Bauer Fleece Lined Pants for Outdoor Activities?

Introduction

I’m on the hunt for some quality outdoor gear, and I’ve been hearing a lot about the Eddie Bauer fleece lined pants available at Costco. With the colder weather upon us, I’m curious if anyone here has experience with these pants, especially for activities like hiking and camping.

Comfort & Warmth

The primary reason I’m considering these pants is their fleece lining. When you’re out in the cold, comfort is key. Have they lived up to expectations in terms of warmth during brisk hikes?
I’ve read that fleece is great for insulation but is it breathable enough for more strenuous activities?

Durability

Another aspect that’s been on my mind is durability. Outdoor gear needs to withstand rough conditions, whether it’s getting caught on branches during hikes or standing up to wear from sitting around a campfire. How do these pants hold up over time? Are there any common issues with seams or the fleece lining?

Fit & Style

I’m also interested in how they fit for various body types. Reviews I’ve seen suggest they might run small, but I want to hear from real users. Do they allow for good movement, particularly when bending or trudging up a hill? Plus, how do they look? Fashion might not be the primary concern when hiking, but we all appreciate a bit of style, right?

Price Point

Lastly, are they a good deal? Costco is known for great prices, but how do the Eddie Bauer fleece lined pants compare to other brands? If you’ve invested in them, do you think they’re worth the price tag?

Conclusion

If you’ve had the chance to try these pants out, your thoughts would be greatly appreciated! Any feedback or reviews on warmth, comfort, durability, fit, and overall performance would be super helpful as I finalize my winter outdoor wardrobe. Looking forward to your insights!
Cheers!

I agree! Comfort is key for outdoor activities. I found them a bit too snug around the waist though. Did you size up?

I purchased these pants last month. The fleece lining is fantastic for chilly weather! It really adds to the wearing experience, especially during morning jogs.

I’m glad to hear that! I’ve heard some mixed reviews about how warm they really keep you. How do they perform in windy conditions?

I wear mine for cycling, and they’re surprisingly good! The fit allows for easy movement, which makes a difference on long rides.

I’m curious about the sizing! Are they true to size? I’m normally a large but sometimes need a medium in other brands.

It’s a tricky fit! I usually wear a medium, but I ordered a large in these and I’m glad I did. The fleece lining adds comfort but tightens the fit a bit.

Ah, good to know! I might want to size up too. How do these pants hold up after washing? Any pilling?

So far, I haven’t noticed any pilling after a few washes. They maintain their shape quite well!

That’s promising! I’m sold on trying these out for sure, especially for winter hiking!

Honestly, I’m not a fan. They felt too restrictive when I tried them on, and I couldn’t get past that. Maybe I just got a bad pair?

I think fit can vary based on body type. It’s good to hear differing opinions; everyone has a unique experience.

I’ve been using the Eddie Bauer fleece lined pants for a few months now, and the material feels really sturdy. After multiple washes, they still look new with no signs of wear or tear. Highly recommend for outdoor activities!

That’s great to hear! I was worried about how they’d hold up after washing. Which activities have you used them for?

I used mine for hiking and they were super comfy. In terms of durability, I noticed a little pilling after the third wash, but nothing major. They are definitely warmer than a lot of other brands I’ve tried.

Pilling can be annoying! How do you think they compare to other fleece pants you’ve owned?

Overall, I’d say the Eddie Bauer pants are better than many others I’ve tried, but the pilling is a downside. They still feel warm and look good, though, so I’m okay with it.

I’ve had my pants for over a year now, using them for casual outdoor stuff. They have held up surprisingly well! No significant wear, and I’ve pulled them through plenty of washes.

That’s impressive! How do they fare against the colder weather?
