Any thoughts on the Sig Romeo MSR? I’ve been eyeing that for a decent price and heard good things about it being user-friendly.
I’ve used the Romeo MSR for a few months now and it’s solid! Easy to zero and the reticle options are nice. I’d say it’s a great deal for the price!
For under $100, the Holosun HS403A is hard to beat! I’ve been pleasantly surprised with its performance.
I agree, but I felt it could be a bit bulky. If you don’t mind that, it’s a decent option.
I’ve been using a primary arms red dot, it’s budget-friendly and I can’t complain! It features great eye relief and is very easy to adjust.
How do the primary arms sights hold up in terms of reliability? I’m curious about how they perform on the range.
I’ve had mine for about a year now and it’s been rock solid. No issues after thousands of rounds, very satisfied!
I tried the AT3 Tactical red dot, and while it’s cheap, it did what it was supposed to without any major complaints. Just don’t expect premium performance.
Totally agree! It’s a great starter sight, but experienced shooters might want something better.
Honestly, I just want something easy to use. I don’t need it to be fancy or anything!
You might find that even the basic models will cover your needs! Just check user reviews to be sure.
I recently installed the Vortex Venom on my Glock 19, and the installation was straightforward. Just make sure you have the right mounting plates for your model!
That’s awesome! I’ve heard great things about the Venom. Does it hold up well during recoil?
The Holosun HS407K is another fantastic option! I struggled a bit with the installation on my Sig P365, but once I got the right tools, it was smooth sailing.
I’ve looked into that sight too! What tools did you end up using?
I used just a basic screwdriver and the included wrench. I recommend taking your time, as rushing can lead to cross-threading the screws!
Great tips, jtaylor! I noticed with my Bushnell TRS-25 on a Canik TP9, alignment was tricky at first. Any advice for reducing that hassle?
For alignment, I suggest using a laser bore sight. It helps ensure your dot is straight with your barrel from the get-go!
I had a challenge with the Crimson Trace CMR-201 fitting on my Ruger. Ended up needing an adapter plate! Anyone else had to do this?
Yeah, I faced that with the same sight on a different Ruger model. Definitely a common challenge! Gotta be aware of those compatibility issues.
