What do you think about the Rock Island Rock Ultra FS 10mm?

That’s reassuring to hear! I’m leaning towards getting one but was worried about long-term performance.

I’ve seen the Rock Ultra priced less than the competitors, so even if some features are basic, it’s worth considering for new shooters.

For sure! But anyone else think it might be too basic for experienced users?

I’ve had the Rock Island Rock Ultra FS 10mm for a year now, and I must say, it’s a solid gun right out of the box. However, I added some custom grips that improved my control and comfort significantly.

That’s great to hear! What kind of grips did you go for? I’m considering a few options myself.

I’ve just installed a fiber optic front sight on mine. It makes target acquisition so much easier, especially in low light. Highly recommend it!

That sounds awesome! Did it require any special tools for installation?

Not at all! It’s a straightforward swap if you have a punch tool and a tiny bit of patience. It took me about 15 minutes to do the whole thing.

I’ve been thinking about custom holsters for my Rock Ultra. Has anyone had experience with designs that fit well and are comfortable for daily carry?

I got a leather holster from a local smith and it’s perfect! Definitely worth looking into custom options.

I’ve got some aftermarket mags that expanded the capacity. They feed reliably and really extend my range time before needing to reload.

That’s useful info! Any specific brand you recommend?

I’ve had luck with the Pro Mag brand. They fit nicely and have been pretty durable, even through some rough handling.

Funny you mention that, because I once tried to modify my Rock Ultra with some parts from an old 1911. Let’s just say it didn’t go well. Lesson learned!

We’ve all had those moments! It’s always good to consult with someone before diving into mods.

I wonder how much the Rock Ultra can be customized without losing reliability. Anyone push the limits on mods?
