I’ve seen a few videos where users had issues with retention on the GLS under heavy movement conditions. Has anyone experienced retention failures during training?
I think those are isolated cases; most reviews I’ve seen praise its retention. Maybe it depends on draw style?
Or maybe it’s just the user’s unfamiliarity with the holster! I always say, practice is key—especially when you’re dealing with safety equipment.
I’ve been using the Safariland 576 with my Glock 19 and it fits perfectly! The GLS system is super intuitive.
That’s great to hear! Does anyone know if it works well with the M&P Shield?
I’ve tried the M&P Shield in the 576 and it was a snug fit but not too comfortable for extended carry. I do recommend checking retention adjustments.
That makes sense! I have a friend who uses it with a P365 and he loves it. Any tips for adjusting the retention?
I added some rubber padding inside, which helped with the fit for my CZ P-10. It made the draw smoother too!
The padding tip is excellent! I’ve had my issues with my Beretta 92F not sitting right. What do you all think about that?
The Beretta 92F is a bit bulky for the 576. I wouldn’t say it’s a bad fit, but definitely not ideal. A custom holster might be better.
Yeah, I could see that being a tight squeeze. Has anyone tried adding a thigh strap for added stability?
A thigh strap can help! But if it’s bulky, does that negate the ease of draw? Just curious about how it impacts functionality.
Absolutely, it can weigh you down! I prefer keeping it streamlined, but it depends on the scenario. What’s everyone’s primary use case?
I use mine for daily carry, and honestly, lighter is better in my opinion! But hey, if someone wants to go full tactical, to each their own! Haha!
