I think it depends on your rifle and what you’re hunting. Sometimes a bit of lower velocity can mean tighter groups, especially for long-range shooting.

Exactly! It’s all about finding the right balance for your specific setup. Happy loading, everyone!

I’ve had great success with the Berger 156 EOL in 6.5 PRC for elk hunting. The terminal ballistics are fantastic. It really delivers knockdown power while being comparatively gentle on meat.

That’s awesome to hear! What distances are you typically shooting at? I’m curious about how they perform at longer ranges.

Yes! I’ve used it on deer as well. The bullet really holds together, and I’ve never had an animal run far with a well-placed shot.

I recently switched to the Berger 156 EOL and found them significantly more accurate than my previous loads. I think they really shine in terms of stability in flight.

I had an unexpected experience last season. While the EOL worked like a charm, I underestimated my range and shot a bit far. It dropped the deer, but I need to be more cautious next time!

Happens to the best of us! Being mindful of range really is crucial for ethical hunting. That’s a valuable lesson learned!

What’s everyone’s thoughts on bullet drop with the Berger 156 EOL? I’m still trying to figure out my drop at various distances; it can be a bit tricky.

Great question! I’ve found that indexing your drops precisely during practice at different ranges can help tremendously. Practice makes perfect!
