In my experience, the rust-proofing is excellent. I’ve used mine in heavy humidity and have yet to see any signs of corrosion, even after a couple of seasons.
Just to add some humor here, I’ve joked with friends that this rifle is more weather-resistant than I am on a camping trip! But seriously, it performs well in harsh conditions.

Not at all! In fact, the Model 70’s barrel setup offers consistent accuracy even in rain. I’ve shot in weather where my buddy’s gear malfunctioned, and I was spot on.

I’m looking into the Winchester Model 70 Extreme Weather SS too! I’ve heard mixed reviews about its performance in harsh conditions. Anyone have thoughts on upgrades?
I’ve had great experiences with mine! The stainless steel finish really does hold up well. Consider a good scope for better accuracy, like the Leupold VX series.

Burris Signature rings are pretty solid for mounts. They provide excellent stability and help maintain zero. Plus, easy to install! Anyone tried them on the Model 70?

Has anyone upgraded the trigger? I’ve heard the stock trigger is decent, but a Timney trigger could make a world of difference!
