Looking for Recommendations on Ruger Super Wrangler Wood Grips

The fitment was perfect for me. No modifications necessary! Just ensure you tighten everything properly afterward.

Ah, good tip! Sanding might be necessary for others too. I didn’t think about that during my installation.

Installation is easy if you take your time. I used a piece of cloth to prevent scratching the frame while adjusting the grips.

I went with walnut, and it matches perfectly! Adds a classic touch to the Wrangler. What about you?

I used maple, and it looks stunning! Just be sure to coat them with some oil afterwards for protection!

Oil is a must! I totally forgot about that and had to do it later. Lessons learned!

Sometimes I think those grips are prestigious enough to have a butler install them! All jokes aside, it is easier than it looks.

Haha, I know right? I tell my friends that I need a ‘grip guru’ for my installation!

I noticed a difference too, but it felt right somehow—like my grip was more secure. Just give it time!

I’ve been using wood grips on my Ruger Super Wrangler, and I really appreciate how they feel. The natural grip texture enhances control, especially during rapid shooting. Highly recommend trying them out!

I’ve noticed the same! The warmth of wood adds a nice touch to the shooting experience. Anyone tried different wood types?

I found that wood grips can be a bit slippery if your hands are sweaty. I’ve gone with textured wood grips much better than smooth ones. Control during shooting is crucial!

Interesting point! I’ve heard that some wood grips come with various finish options that enhance grip texture.

I love the look of wood grips on my Ruger! But more than aesthetics, I’ve found them comfortable to hold during extended shooting sessions. What grip styles do others prefer?

Totally agree! The comfort factor can make a huge difference when shooting often. I prefer grips with some curve for better fit.
