Anyone Have Experience with Tikka UPR in 6.5 Creedmoor?

True! But you can always look for deals online. I usually buy in bulk during sales and save a good amount on ammo.

I recently got my Tikka UPR in 6.5 Creedmoor and I’ve been doing a lot of reading on maintaining it. Regular cleaning is essential to keep it in top shape. I recommend using a bore snake after each outing and investing in a good cleaning kit.

Absolutely! I also suggest a light oil after cleaning to prevent rust. You want to avoid excess oil, though, as it can attract dirt.

Trigger adjustments are also key for precision shooting. I’ve got mine tuned down to about 2.5 lbs, which made a huge difference in my groups. Definitely consider a trigger upgrade if you’re looking for improved performance!

Great point! I’ve been eyeing the Timney trigger as a possible aftermarket upgrade. Anyone have experience with that?

I’ve had the Timney on my UPR for about six months now. It’s fantastic! The break is very crisp, and it’s adjustable too. Definitely worth considering!

That sounds great! Do you think it helps with recoil management, or is that more about the stock design?

Recoil management does come from the stock as well as the muzzle brake. I added a brake to mine, and it made a noticeable difference in follow-up shots. Keep that in mind if you plan on tuning for performance.

Nice! I’ve also heard about some great propane shock absorbers that other shooters swear by. Is that something worth checking out?

I haven’t tried those, but maintaining proper torque on your scope rings can also play a huge role in accuracy. Just be sure to follow the manufacturer’s specs closely.
