Thoughts on the EAA Windicator .357 4 Inch?

Seeking Insights on the EAA Windicator .357 4 Inch

Hey everyone,

I’ve been looking into the EAA Windicator in .357 with a 4-inch barrel for some time now, and I would love to hear your thoughts and experiences with it. I’m particularly interested in using it for target shooting, but I’m also curious about its performance in other settings, like hunting or home defense.

A Few Specific Questions:

  • Accuracy: How accurate do you find it at different ranges?
  • Recoil: For those who have used it, how is the recoil compared to other revolvers you’ve tried?
  • Build Quality: What are your impressions of its durability? Have you faced any issues?
  • Sight Options: Do you prefer the iron sights, or have you upgraded to any optics?

Personal Research

From what I’ve gathered, this revolver seems to be solidly built and a great option for someone starting in the shooting community. However, I want to ensure that I make a well-informed decision before purchasing. Any reliability issues or customer service experiences to share?

Last Thoughts

If you have any recommendations for alternative models or brands in a similar price range, I’m open to suggestions.
Looking forward to your feedback and any tips you might have!

Thanks in advance for your input!

I’ve had the EAA Windicator .357 with a 4-inch barrel for about a year now. The accuracy is surprisingly good for the price point. Groups can be tight at 25 yards if I do my part.

That’s great to hear! How has it performed in terms of reliability? Any jams or issues?

I haven’t had any jams so far. The reliability has been excellent. I’ve fired a couple of different brands of ammo, and it handles them all without a hiccup.

I agree with you, David. I’ve noticed that it performs really well in different shooting conditions, too. Rain or shine, it keeps going strong. Just make sure to keep it clean!

[quote=“wardelizabeth, post:4, topic:2417”]Just make sure to keep it clean![ /quote]Absolutely! Sometimes I forget, and I can feel the difference in performance when it’s dirty. How’s the recoil? Is it manageable?

The recoil is not too bad. It’s definitely sharper than a .38, but manageable for most shooters. I find that it’s quite fun to shoot, especially with a proper grip.

I think it’s a great choice for beginners. It’s affordable, reliable, and offers the experience of shooting a .357. Just remember, the trigger takes some getting used to.

That’s true! I’ve seen some folks struggle with it. Overall, would you say it’s worth the investment?

For the price, absolutely! I’d say it’s a solid investment for those who want a .357 without spending a fortune. Just don’t expect it to compete with higher-end models.

But hey, it gives you that classic revolver feel! That’s priceless, don’t you think?

I’ve been looking into the EAA Windicator .357, and it seems to offer great value compared to other revolvers in its class. Its price point is very competitive, especially for an all-steel revolver.

I agree! For around $400, you get a solid revolver that can rival more expensive brands. Plus, the .357 capability is a great feature for versatility.

I’ve owned a few revolvers, and the Windicator feels very sturdy. The sights are decent, but they could be better compared to brands like Smith & Wesson or Ruger.

True, but the overall user experience of the Windicator seems to make up for it. It’s fun to shoot and has less recoil than I expected for a .357.

I think it’s important to note that it’s designed primarily for budget-conscious buyers. You might not get all the frills, but it performs well, which is what matters most in defense situations.

Absolutely, it’s about reliability and functionality over looks. Plus, I’ve seen many users rave about their satisfaction with the Windicator’s performance.

I totally second that! I’ve had my Windicator for over a year and it’s been dependable. However, I’ve read some mixed reviews about customer service—anyone else notice that?

Yes, customer service can be hit or miss. But I’d rather deal with that than find a gun that doesn’t perform as expected. By the way, has anyone done a trigger pull comparison with other revolvers?

I haven’t done a formal test, but the Windicator’s trigger feels pretty smooth to me. Can’t say the same for some higher-end models I’ve tried!
