Surefire 4 Prong vs 3 Prong: Which Flash Hider Wins?

I had more problems with the 4 prong being a bit bulky for my setup. I went back to the 3 prong because it just felt smoother and was easier to maneuver with my existing accessories.

That’s a valid take! Comfort and adaptability with gear matter a lot. Is anyone looking to switch back and forth between models?

I think I’d just stick to one. Life’s too short to be swapping flash hiders all the time! Plus, cleaning can be a hassle.

A touch of humor won’t hurt! It feels like having multiple flash hiders is like having a wardrobe that’s too big—at some point, you just wear the same thing every day. :joy:

Haha, true! But sometimes it’s nice to have options in case of range day surprises!

I would say have both! The 4 prong is great for serious situations, while the 3 prong is ideal for casual days at the range. Versatility is key.

Exactly! I’ll experiment more and see what fits my needs best. This discussion has been super helpful!

If you don’t mind me asking, what specific features did you find most beneficial about each? It can help in making a future choice.

Mainly the reliability of the 4 prong, especially under stress. The 3 prong is great for reduced weight, but in my experience, the 4 prong excels overall.
