Looking for Public Gun Ranges in Massachusetts for Outdoor Shooting

There are indeed several safety courses! Check local gun shops or shooting clubs as they often provide or know where to find them.

I’m really interested in this topic too! I recently visited the Weston Rod and Gun Club, and they have a great outdoor range. The atmosphere was friendly, and the amenities were top-notch.

Have you checked out the Harvard Sportsmen’s Club? I’ve been there several times, and they have fantastic facilities. Plus, the drive is pretty scenic!

I’ve heard mixed reviews about the ranges around Boston. What are some other options outside the city? I’m looking for a family-friendly place that has a nice atmosphere.

The Harvard Sportsmen’s Club is great! I also recommend the Haverhill Outdoor Range. They have decent facilities, but I found the staff to be a bit grumpy!

Has anyone tried Dover-Foxcroft’s range? I went last summer, and the scenery was just beautiful! Perfect for a day outside.

Dover-Foxcroft sounds awesome! How’s the accessibility? I’ve heard some ranges are tricky to get to.

I often go to the Brockton Sportsmen’s Club. It’s relatively accessible and has a good selection of outdoor shooting areas. A great place for beginners as well.

I second that! Plus, they offer training sessions which are highly beneficial if you’re new to shooting.

For those who don’t mind a little drive, the Pittsfield Sportsmen’s Club has a great outdoor range. Just don’t forget to pack snacks—it’s a bit out of the way!

Good tip! Gotta stay fueled! What about the competition level at these places? Any advice for joining events?
